Alberobello
Alberobello is a small Town in the heart of the Itria Valley, certainly one of the most famous image of Puglia worldwide.
The Trulli of Alberobello have been designated as a UNESCO World Heritage site since 1996.
Trulli are the typical stone dwellings capped by corbel-vaulted stone roofs.
The most touristy part of Alberobello is Rione Monti district, which is lively and colourful for the presence of many shops and gives you the chance to see a Church in the shape of a Trullo (Chiesa di San Antonio), the Museum of peasant tradition and Siamese trulli.
Enjoy some shopping of local products and visit as well The museum of Trullo Sovrano, the largest of the trulli, the only one with two floors and still furnished as it once was.
